Ephesians 1:7 (NLT) "He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins" AMEN! Amen indeed! It is near impossible to comprehend that measure of love. #grace

Good evening all.. I hope everyone had a blessed day and will have a peaceful evening. I couldn't help wonder, we're all so looking forward to seeing Jesus when we get to heaven. We know Him. Even tho we didn't actually see Him as a man on earth, we knew He was here, what He did, and what He said. We can't wait to see Him. I wonder what it was like when David and Daniel first saw Him we they got yo heaven? Jesus had't walked the earth yet, the new testament hadn't been written when they were alive on the earth. Any thoughts?? Shalom

I wonder what it was like when David and Daniel first saw Him we they got yo heaven? Jesus had't walked the earth yet, the new testament hadn't been written when they were alive on the earth. Any thoughts?? Shalom So...as soon as I read this I remembered how much I enjoyed studying about Sheol/Abraham's Bosom/Paradise. This is where those that died in faith that the promised Messiah would come were waiting for Jesus! This is where Jesus went when He decended after His death...before He ascended to be with the Father. Anyway...the question had me back in those scriptures and studying again. I can't imagine what it was like for Abraham, Moses, David, Daniel, Joeseph, etc! Especially David and Isaiah who were given so many prophecies about the coming Savior! Imagine what it was like for the human writer of: "But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed" IS 53:5 to come face to fce with Jesus! What a meeting that must have been. I think that these men and women had to have so much more faith thatn we do. We have so much more information and, like you said, the benefit of history and being able to look back. I have enjoyed thinking about this again. Just can't imagine their excitement!! Can't imagine my own!

HAPPY FRIDAY everyone!!! I hope that you all had a great week! It may have been a challenging one but God will use the challenges for His glory. We may not see it now but we can believe it by faith. Sometimes all we have to do is stop and remember how He has worked in the past...or take a moment from our situation and ask Him for a bible passage to encourage us or shed light on our situation...sometimes we just need to say "Jesus help!". Remember...He is NEVER far away if you have repented and trusted Him as Savior!
Be encouraged and have a blessed day!!!!

Good morning everyone!! Happy Saturday!! I hope everyone was has a blessed day on this blessed day. Yes, as NJ said it's been a challenging week. I'm enjoying the beautiful water view that The Lord has blessed me with. So peaceful. I think I'll enjoy it all day!! We know the way to be a peace in the stormy times. Jesus!!! There're many storms in our lives, and I know we're heading for some of the biggest in the near future. The great battle of Good and Evil is upon us. But I'm more than secure, and at peace knowing that my foundation is in God, not anything of this world. Below is a nice article. www.shepherdpress.com/your-hope-in-the-storm/ Shalom

Hello Gals. I recently made a big change in my life. I moved to a new city and got a new job. I found a church, and I really like it. The problem is, my pastor is a millionaire! I am a happy giver. I would love to do anything possible to better the kingdom of God. But I really struggle with giving to "God", when in reality, it's going into my Pastor's wallet so he can live in a mansion and drive an expensive car. I'm really torn about this. Should I keep giving at the church that I love? Or should I switch churches and give to a pastor who isn't as wealthy?

First off...it is a blessing that you found a church that you love and that you want to be a good steward with the resources God has provided! I would get a copy of the church's audited financial statements. My church makes copies available to us. All non-profits should. This way you can see how much $ is donated and how it is spent. You will also see how much is spent on salaries. I would find out where the money goes first. If it looks like more is going to salaries and other infrastructure expenses then to ministry...or more than you would like...pray about where God would have you invest His $.
