Good morning gals! Happy Saturday! I hope that everyone had a great week!
Thought for the day...
if you use more of your mind to solve a problem than trusting The Lord you will only wind up frustrated!
Have a blessed day!

Good Morning All!! Happy Sunday! I hope everyone has a blessed day today!! This is the day The Lord gave us, let's go out and serve Him, and be a blessing to others. Psalms 52:8-9 (NLT )"... I will always trust in God’s unfailing love. I will praise you forever, O God, for what you have done..."

Hey Miami...congrats on the Fins And Packers wins! You must be excited! Although the Giants have won their first three pre-season games Eli and the offense are NOT looking strong! I noticed at Giants camp this week that Eli is seriously lacking in intensity. I wonder if he has lost his passion now that he has two Super Bowl wins?

Good morning! Happy Monday everyone.
I pray that you all are doing well. I wanted to share this meditation as we start a new week:
@godly_Life: Sometimes, our greatest strengths can be found while trusting God through our greatest obstacles.
Have a blessed day!

Good Morning All!!! Happy Saturday!! Whew... Excuse my absence this past week. I've been working way to much. The Lord has carried me thru a very busy time. All the praise and glory to Him!!
I'm having a wonderful vacation visiting NJ in NJ. LOL We were at Seaside yesterday, and headed into NYC later today for a show and dinner. Can't wait. NJ is keeping me very busy. LOL
We couldn't help reminisce yesterday about this weekend last year. I was in Gainesville with UFGal looking forward to my first Gator game. NJ, UFGal and myself shared the longest phone call in history Friday night into Sat morning, it was 4hrs long!! We never laughed so hard in our lives. Really miss those calls.
Of course Sat was when we heard the news about Tim being cut from the Pats. It was such a blessing to be with UFGal that day so we could go thru it together, and going to the Gator game was a great distraction as well. NJ was by herself until UF and I got her on the phone again later for another long call.
Wow.. What a difference a year makes. But still some awesome memories.
I hope everyone has a blessed day!!
Shalom

Good evening everyone! I hope that everyone is having a great weekend! Miami and I are having a great weekend of fun and fellowship! God has blessed us "exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or imagine"! If you ever have an opportunity to see Wicked I highly recommend it. It was fantastic! I even put Miami to 'work' this morning at church as I was on as sound engineer. She has potential as a roadie. LOL! I too was doing a lot of reminiscing during this week. Even looking back at texts between me, Miami and UFGal. Oh, that marathon phone cal!!! I never laughed so hard. Hey...when gals are on a mission anything can happen!!! And I remember breaking the news to them Saturday morning about Tim being cut. It was a blessing to have everyone gathered here to go through it with. Yes, fast forward a year and things are different but there are some very special memories. Well, the Pats have finally traded Mallett...only a year after we were hoping for that. . And Tim does have a team now...it is a broadcasting team...but still a team. He seems to really be embracing his new gig and enjoying it. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend! #GoGiants #GoGators Have a blessed evening.

Good Morning!! I hope everyone had a great and blessed weekend. I sure did!! May the Lords peace cover us all!!
Alas, all good things must come to an end, including my vacation. Had a wonderful blessed long weekend up in NJ visiting my Sista Gal NJ. We were blessed with so much fellowship time and a jam packed weekend of fun. Even Siri got evolved with some of our escapades and had us in stitches.
Back on a plane headed home. Back to work this afternoon. Love vacation, but so blessed to have a job to go back to.
No matter what goes on in our lives, the most important thing to keep in mind:
Psa 18:2 "The Lord is my rock, my fortress, & my savior; my God is my rock & protection. He is my shield..."
Shalom

Yes...Siri did get in on the fun! I still howl over that! Good things don't necessarily come to an end...they just get out on hold for a little while! The Lord truly blessed us this weekend. I am so thankful.

Hello, Did you see the Victoria Osteen clip? I want to give her the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe she lost her train of thought and her words just got away from her. I don't know. I used to watch Joel but stopped after realizing it was more self-help, feel-good, pep-talk and not a real sermon. I am confused how fire and bible based preachers produce offspring who don't quite have the same style. I used to watch his dad. I'm interested in your thoughts on the video.

Hi! Yes I did see that. For those that haven't here is a link... gnli.christianpost.com/video/victoria-osteen-do-good-for-your-own-self-not-for-god-33544This isn't the first time she or her husband have said things like this. They always do. This is a foundational teaching of their ministry. What is more interesting to me is that it is all of a sudden becoming such big news. That is the part that has my attention. I wonder what God is up to here? If I wasn't familiar with the ideas that come out of that ministry or if this was a new believer who was speaking in front of a crowd for the first time I would be inclined to give the benefit of the doubt too. We just have to much history of non-biblical ideas and teachings coming from Lakewood. Ideas that make it all about 'us' and our happiness...nothing about Him and the call for holiness. I think that she meant and believes exactly what she said. Here is what she said... "When we obey God we're not doing it for God. I mean that's one way to look at it. We're doing it for ourselves. Because God takes pleasure when we are happy. That's the thing that gives Him the greatest joy this morning. So I want you to know this morning just do good for your own self. Do good because God wants you to be happy. When you come to church. When you worship Him. You're not doing it for God really. You're doing it for yourself. Because that's what makes God happy." Our happiness does not give God the greatest joy. Jesus teaches in Luke 15:10 that sinners repenting makes heaven sing! Honoring Him, loving Him, dying to self and living for Him, pursuing righteousness and making Him known to others is what the bible teaches are pleasing to God. The Christian has access to something much better than 'happiness'. We have access to the peace that passes understanding and joy unspeakable. We attain these things through faith and trust in God...not by anything we do but because of Who He is in our lives. . I would love to hear what you thought of his dad. I am not familiar with how/what he taught. Is JO following in his dad's footsteps or was dad more bible based? Thanks!

Good morning everyone! Happy Friday! Yes, it is an extra-special Friday!!!!!! Thank you Miami! That is my favorite kind of cake...no calories!!! Just likes everything we ate last weekend. . I love starting my birthday with: Psalm 139.A psalm of David. "LORD, you have probed me, you know me:
You know when I sit and stand;*
you understand my thoughts from afar.
3You sift through my travels and my rest;
with all my ways you are familiar.
4Even before a word is on my tongue,
LORD, you know it all.
5Behind and before you encircle me
and rest your hand upon me.
6Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
far too lofty for me to reach.
7Where can I go from your spirit?
From your presence, where can I flee?
8If I ascend to the heavens, you are there;
if I lie down in Sheol, there you are.
9If I take the wings of dawn*
and dwell beyond the sea,*
10Even there your hand guides me,
your right hand holds me fast.
11If I say, “Surely darkness shall hide me,
and night shall be my light”*—
12Darkness is not dark for you,
and night shines as the day.
Darkness and light are but one.
13You formed my inmost being;
you knit me in my mother’s womb.
14I praise you, because I am wonderfully made;
wonderful are your works!
My very self you know.
15My bones are not hidden from you,
When I was being made in secret,
fashioned in the depths of the earth.*
16Your eyes saw me unformed;
in your book all are written down;
my days were shaped, before one came to be.
III 17How precious to me are your designs, O God;
how vast the sum of them!
18Were I to count them, they would outnumber the sands;
when I complete them, still you are with me.
19When you would destroy the wicked, O God,
the bloodthirsty depart from me!
20Your foes who conspire a plot against you
are exalted in vain.
IV 21Do I not hate, LORD, those who hate you?
Those who rise against you, do I not loathe?i
22With fierce hatred I hate them,
enemies I count as my own.
23Probe me, God, know my heart;
try me, know my thoughts.
24See if there is a wicked path in me;
lead me along an ancient path."Reflecting on my physical birth, how marvelous the Creator is and how concerned He is for every aspect of my life is such a beautiful meditation. Talk about happiness! Physical birth is only the first step though. As Jesus teaches us in... John 3:1-21*1a Now there was a Pharisee named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.*2He came to Jesus at night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God, for no one can do these signs that you are doing unless God is with him.”b3Jesus answered and said to him, “Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born* from above.”4Nicodemus said to him, “How can a person once grown old be born again? Surely he cannot reenter his mother’s womb and be born again, can he?”c5Jesus answered, “Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit.d6What is born of flesh is flesh and what is born of spirit is spirit.e7Do not be amazed that I told you, ‘You must be born from above.’8The wind* blows where it wills, and you can hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes; so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”f9Nicodemus answered and said to him, “How can this happen?”10Jesus answered and said to him, “You are the teacher of Israel and you do not understand this?11Amen, amen, I say to you, we speak of what we know and we testify to what we have seen, but you people do not accept our testimony.g12If I tell you about earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you about heavenly things?h13No one has gone up to heaven except the one who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man.i14And just as Moses lifted up* the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,j15* so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.”
16For God so loved the world that he gave* his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.k17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn* the world, but that the world might be saved through him.l18Whoever believes in him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.m19* And this is the verdict,n that the light came into the world, but people preferred darkness to light, because their works were evil.20For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come toward the light, so that his works might not be exposed.o21But whoever lives the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be clearly seen as done in God.pReflecting on my spiritual birth, how marvelous the Savior is and how concerned He is for every aspect of my eternal life is such a beautiful meditation. Talk about joy and peace! That joy and peace is available to all who will confess their sin before God, repent, acknowledge their need for a Saviour and trust in Jesus and His sacrifice as payment for the penalty of their personal sin. That is Good News! Have a lessee day all! Lori Ann
