This isn't the verse I'm going to put in on Monday, but my pastor said this in his teaching on Paul today, and I really like it.
"Awful sinners make awesome Saints"

Ok.. jumping in... loved all the srories today. I understand what yall are saying about TTshould have maybe chosen baseball because it clearly seems to be his best talent, but maybe he felt he wanted more of a challenge? We know he loves a good challenge! lol... How are we to know how he prayed and how he was led? He says, he seeked God's wisdom in many decisions so maybe he did the same regarding this regarless if he is saying "my." ? IDK. However, I do think that God is intervening in his life right now and has been seriously doing so this last year for a higher calling FB or NOT. I hope and pray Tim heeds the calling. Everyday is something else with him and I know it must be tough. I hope he feels God's presense and the love/support from his loyal fans. I am glad he is in JAX, and I hope Mrs. Tebow has smothered him with so much love/kisses (LOL) and advice! I do have a lot to add into the virginity talk later.
I am leaving you with a verse and a culmination of my thoughts/study this week: (VERY TT fitting at the moment oddly...lol)
"We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck dowm, but not destroyed." 2 Corinthians 4:8-9
God is powerful and capable... even when we are weak and helpless. His chosen people (Christians) must learn DISCIPLINE through trials/tests, and need HOPE to TRUST God to provide what he/she needs, and it may not be what he/she wants.
Always HOPE in His PRESENCE, POWER, PROVISION and PROMISE to us as His own.

Isaiah 30:19-22
For a people shall dwell in Zion, in Jerusalem; you shall weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. As soon as he hears it, he answers you. And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide himself anymore, but your eyes shall see your Teacher. And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. Then you will defile your carved idols overlaid with silver and your gold-plated metal images. You will scatter them as unclean things. You will say to them, “Be gone!”

10Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. 11Do not cast me away from Your presence And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. 12Restore to me the joy of Your salvation And sustain me with a willing spirit. 13Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners will be converted to You. 14Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, the God of my salvation; Then my tongue will joyfully sing of Your righteousness. 15O Lord, open my lips, That my mouth may declare Your praise. 16For You do not delight in sacrifice, otherwise I would give it; You are not pleased with burnt offering. 17The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; A broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. David's prayer of repentance puts a lump in my throat every time I read it. Tonight it is really getting to me. Whew... He loved God so much from when he was a boy. As he grew in age and in faith God gave him everything he could have ever wanted and "if this were not enough I could count up more" said God. I can't imagine the pain and heartbreak he experienced once he realized his sin. "Against You, You alone have I sinned" David said to his Lord earlier in Psalm 51. But, as always, the star of this moment is The Lord. Not content to leave the "man after his own heart" blinded by and in his sin He sent His prophet Nathan to help open David's eyes. Once opened David proclaimed "I have sinned against The Lord", repented and wrote one of the most powerful Psalms. Imagine his joy when Nathan then proclaimed "For His part, The Lord has removed your sin." Yes, there were a list of very serious and public consequences that David would have to endure but his sin was forgiven and he was restored to God! Every promise that God ever made to David was fulfilled including his place in the ancestry of the Savior. Brothers and sisters...I pray that if there is any sin in our lives that is keeping God from fulfilling the promises and plans for us that He send us a Nathan, that we be quick to repent, receive forgiveness and sing praise to our God!

"The Lord isn't really being slow about His promise, as some people think. No, He is being patient for your sake. He does not want people to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent." -2 Peter 3:9
"I Still Believe" by Jeremy Camp
Scattered words and empty thoughts seem to pour from my heart I've never felt so torn before seems I don't know where to start but it's now that I feel Your grace fall like rain from every fingertip, washing away my pain
[Chorus:] I still believe in Your faithfulness I still believe in Your truth I still believe in Your holy word even when I don't see, I still believe
Though the questions still fog up my mind with promises I still seem to bear even when answers slowly unwind it's my heart I see You prepare but its now that I feel Your grace fall like rain from every finger tip, washing away my pain
[Chorus]
The only place I can go is into your arms where I throw to you my feeble prayers in brokeness I can see that this was your will for me Help me to know You are near
---- I think that we have all been there at one point or another. We wonder and question about God and His timing. Then, sometimes, we get to that point where we don't understand what is going on, why things are happening to us. Jesus wants the best for us! Like GinNJ said in her beautiful devotion, we all sort of need that Nathan. We all need to reach that point of surrendering to Jesus and giving our all to Him, so that He can fulfill all of the amazing promises that He intends for us. "I Still Believe" (the song I posted above) was the first song that Jeremy Camp wrote after the passing of his wife. No matter how heartbroken and distraught we are, we always, always, always have a place in the arms of our Heavenly Father. We might not understand what is happening; but if we run to Jesus, He will gladly wash away our pain!
