Including a picture in your message is actually quite easy on this forum. You can post from a PC or a mobile device. Just follows these simple steps.
- the picture must be saved to your PC or mobile device. If you need extra help with this let us know.
- this site has a limit on how much space we can using adding attachments to our posts. So that we never have to deal with managing that we will upload our pictures to another site (tinypic.com) and then place a link to the uploaded pic in our posts using bbc code. What??? Don't worry tinypic.com will add the coding this site needs for you.
- go to tinypic.com. You will see the following:
- click or tap Choose File then click or tap Choose Existing
- click or tap Default to resize your pic for this site. Please choose ONLY Website/Email or Message board. I never go larger that Message board for really good pics but use Website/Email most of the time. Either is fine though. If the pic is to big the rest of the screen shrinks in order to accommodate which makes the text difficult to read...especially on mobile devices.
- click or tap Upload Now
- you will now have to prove that you are a human being by following the instructions in the box that will pop up. In some instances you answer a question, in others you just type in a given word or phrase. If you are on a PC you may have to watch a brief video and then the word or phrase will be displayed.
- tiinypic.com has now saved your pic on their site and created 4 separate links for you to use to retrieve your pic and display it on another website, in an email or use for an avatar.
IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards - this is the link that you will cut and paste into your message post. The bbc code I mentioned earlier is included before and after the actual link.
Direct Link for Layouts - this is the link that you will cut and paste into the Avatar Url field in your profile if you would like to use a pic as a avatar.
If you have any trouble using these instructions please let us know.
